The clinical study will be conducted in the form of groups with one group of at most 3 students with an interpreter, please apply a month or two in advance according to the arrangement of the courses.
 
2) Long term classes (Joining the bachelor degree program courses)
Course selecting: According to personal interests and needs, students can select courses of TCM (Classic TCM Orientation) bachelor degree program after checking curriculum of each semester. For detailed information about courses, please see Appendix 2
Teaching Language: Chinese
 
3)Besides the fixed term classes above, we also provide group study classes for oversea TCM educational facilities, associations, companies, and practitioners. The courses for group classes are customizable. Applicants should contact the office of the Faculty of International Education 1 or 2 months in advance to confirm the schedule, courses and tuition fees, and send the required documents via fax or email for registration to the office 20 days before the study begins.
 
 
3. Certification
“Certificate of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, Nanning, Guangxi, People’s Republic of China” will be awarded after the study is finished.

Huo Shen Scool (Yang Supporting School)
 
 
Established in the end of Qing Dynasty (1616-1912), Huo Shen School (Yang Supporting School), known as its preference to monkshood (Fu Zi) in medication, has its own academic feature in advocating for strengthening Yang Qi. This course focuses on the basic theory of TCM, comprehension of TCM classics, theory of strengthening Yang Qi, clinical application of monkshood, and academic ideology of Huo Shen School.

State Grand Master
Ban Xiuwens Experience in TCM Gynecology
Ban Xiuwen, State Grand Master, started his engagement in TCM in September, 1940. Ban Xiuwen has his own understanding, and made fruitful achievements in gynecology. He praised highly of the theory on replenishing the liver and kidney with his preference to flowers in medication. The course focuses on the theory of gynecology, clinical practice of TCM, introduction to gynecological formulas and case study.

TCM Traumatology and Orthopedics (Gui School)
With the guidance of basic theory of TCM, the chiropractic of Gui School has a brilliant efficacy in various diseases without side effects by combining the modern anatomy, physiology, pathology and theory of biomechanics based on the manipulation of TCM orthopedics, traumatology and Tuina. This course stresses on the theory of orthopedics and traumatology, and a series of practice conducted by those reputed experts will be shown during the program.

Guangxi Acupuncture and Moxibustion Techniques Training Class
 
As a State key clinical department, it focuses on traditional acupuncture and moxibustion, including filiform needling, intradermal needling, three-edged needling, scalp needling, auricular needling, hydro-needling, cupping and all kinds of moxibustions. In recent years, with gaining increasing popularity, a series of new treatments have been launched, such as small needle knife, acupoint taping, weight loss and cosmetology with acupuncture, therapy of smearing and warming with Chinese herbal medicine, fumigation with Chinese herbal medicine, auricular pressure therapy, blood-pricking therapy, pricking therapy, biological holographic therapy, Thunder-Fire moxibustion and exercise for rehabilitation. The course focuses on the theory of acupuncture and moxibustion, and practice guided by reputed physicians in the clinic.

Advanced Class Infantile Tuina Techniques
With theoretical guidance of Yin-Yang and Five Elements, viscera and meridians, infantile tuina can smooth the meridians, Qi and blood circulation by using various massage manipulations to stimulate acupuncture points, so as to adjust the viscera function, cure diseases and keep healthy. Acupuncture points for infantile tuina include punctiform point, thready point and faceted point.The manipulation should be light and soft, smooth and stable. Emphasis is laid on reinforcing and reducing methods, and manipulative procedures. Infantile tuina has good effects on common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases, especially for digestive diseases.

Clinical advanced study
This course includes clinical practice in different medical departments, such as internal medicine, gynecology, acupuncture and moxibustion, cosmetic acupuncture, massage, orthopedics dermatology, pediatrics, hepatopathy, etc..

TCM Classic Theories
This course introduces the four classics of TCM, Huangdi Neijing, Nan Jing, Treatise on Febrile and Miscellaneous Diseases, and Sheng Nong's Herbal Classic. Other courses can be chosen when study this course.

Diagnosis and Treatment on Zhuang and Yao Folk Medicine
Both Zhuang and Yao folk medicine are the characteristic minority medicine of Guangxi, including the Medicated Thread Moxibustion, Acupuncture and Channel Tendon Therapy of Zhuang medicine and the Medicated Fire Moxibustion, Medicated Bath and Steam, Medicated Moxibustion and Medical cup of Yao medicine. Furthermore, both theory study and clinical practice of Zhuang and Yao folk medicine will be emphasized in this program.
